Master's Degrees:
Agricultural Education and Communication - Attend graduate classes where-ever and whenever you have Internet access. County Extension agents and middle/high school agri-science teachers can now earn a Master of Science degree from home in Agricultural Education and Communication.
Entomology and Nematology - Courses are offered via distance education to students interested in biological science with emphasis on insects and other arthropods. Potential students include extension agents and other educators, state and federal employees in agricultural, environmental and regulatory positions, consultants, pest-control industry personnel and others who want to further their education.
Environmental Horticulture - Environmental Horticulture deals with the science of using plants to enhance the environment through breeding, selecting, propagating, growing, installing and maintaining plants. Graduate studies are offered leading to a Master of Science degree with a thesis or non-thesis option.
Environmental Science - Courses are offered via distance education to students interested in environmental issues related to the soil and water quality of agricultural lands, forested lands, rangelands, urban lands or wetlands. This distance education track is designed for those who want to enhance their knowledge in environmental science, ranging from private firms to state and federal employees, consultants or students who want to pursue an academic career.
Bachelor's Degrees:
Agribusiness Management - This specialization in the Food and Resource Economics Department (FRE) is for students interested in careers in marketing, management, finance, sales and international companies in the agribusiness field. These include retail, transportation, supply firms, tourism, agricultural and food services, as well as federal and state positions in the environment and policy making fields.
Environmental Management - Under the Soil and Water Science Department, this specialty provides training to undergraduate students interested in working in the private or public sectors to manage our land and water resources in a wide range of ecosystems including real estate, agricultural, forested, range, urban, and wetland ecosystems.
Certificate Programs:
Students requesting admission to Certificate Programs do not need to meet the University of Florida's admission requirements. However, they will take the same courses as degree seeking students. Students must complete five courses to earn their certificate. A minimum GPA of 2.00 is required before admission, and the candidate must maintain at least a 2.5 average while taking classes.
