Lettuce Production
in the Everglades Agricultural Area

Lettuce is a Florida crop that is grown in the fall, winter, and spring months (November through May). There are many varieties of lettuce, including crisphead, butterhead, leaf, and romaine.

Leaf lettuce is the most common variety grown in the Sunshine State. However, all lettuce types can thrive in Florida.
